Colorindio
Colorindio was founded in 2009 by Libia Moreno and Paulina Parlange who joined forces over their love of textiles. Their joyful and masterfully-crafted table linens are made in partnership with artisan communities throughout Chiapas, a state in southern Mexico with a rich weaving tradition. Libia and Paulina, who are based in Mexico City, initially spent time traveling and living in Chiapas in order to immerse themselves in the craft and understand the inspirations and experiences that shape the artisanal process. Today, they work in collaboration with their artisan partners, engaging in the design process and constantly seeking ways to provide ongoing economic stability. Colorindio’s pieces are woven using back strap and pedal looms and showcase a variety of intricate techniques including embroidery and brocade. When visiting their beautiful Mexico City showroom, we were struck with the brand’s innovative use of color – bringing a modern twist to traditional motifs. We’re so excited to connect you with a selection of their masterful work.
